[Description]
Displays the product name and serial number of the scanner. This also allows you to set the scanner name, installation location, contact person, and the administrator e-mail address.

[Configuration]
Displays the specifications of the scanner.

[Usage Counters]
Displays the number of scanned pages to date.

[Initialization]
Initializes the NV memory.

Security:

[SSL/TLS Server Communication], [Generate Self-Signed Certificate], [Certificate Management], [Tab Display Operation]
Allow you to set security on transmitted/received data if enabling communication to and from the scanner using HTTPS.
These pages also allow you to configure the SSL/TLS server communication, to create, verify, or delete self-signed certificates, as well as to set access limitations for each tab.

[Certificate Management] appears only when your self-signed certificate is already created and the SSL/TLS server communication is enabled.


[Internet Services Settings]
Sets the parameters for CentreWare Internet Services.

[Port Status]
Sets whether or not to enable each port.

Port Settings:

[Ethernet]
Sets the parameters for Ethernet.

Protocol Settings:

Sets the parameters for [TCP/IP], [SNMP], [FTP Client], [SMB Client], [E-mail], [SNTP Client], and [HTTP].

The protocols that can be used differ depending on your usage environment.

1. Select an item you want to confirm or configure in the left frame. If the items below each folder are not displayed, click the [+] sign on the left of each folder.
   
   The setting for the item is displayed in the right frame.
   
   

To change the settings:

Procedure

1. The settings can be changed on the drop-down menus, text boxes, and check boxes.
   
   The current settings on the drop-down menus are indicated with an asterisk (*).
   Some items limit the amount of information that can be entered by specific amount of bytes. It takes 1 byte to express one single-byte character and 2 bytes to express one double-byte character.
   
   
2. When you are finished with the settings, click the [Apply] button at the bottom of the right frame.
   
   The new settings are transferred and applied to the scanner.
   If you change the settings of certain items, a message saying "Reboot system for new settings to take effect." appears. If the message appears, switch the scanner off and then on again to apply the new settings.
   You may also be prompted to enter an administrator ID and password. If prompted, enter the administrator ID and password set under [Internet Services Settings].

• To cancel the new settings, click the [Undo] button.
• To view the most current settings, click the [Refresh] button.
