大阪万博住友館訪問レポート
～「ミライのタネ」エリアで展示されるサイバーセキュリティダッシュボードの現地視察～

連日来場者数の記録を更新し続ける大阪万博。数多くのパビリオンの中でも特に高い人気を誇る住友館の「ミライのタネ」エリアにて、CISO統括オフィスの取り組み「サイバーセキュリティダッシュボード」が展示されています。
今回、現地を視察してまいりましたので、その様子をレポートいたします。
住友館は事前予約の抽選でもなかなか当選しないという声をよく耳にするほどの大人気となっておりますが、タイミングによっては予約なしの当日枠でも入場出来るのでぜひ確認してみてください。
印象的な建築デザインと没入型体験
住友館は、今回の大阪万博のシンボルでもある大屋根リングと調和するような木造の外観が特徴的です。メインの体験エリア「UNKNOWN FOREST」では、その名の通り神秘的な森の中を自由に探索することができます。

「ミライのタネ」エリアでの展示状況
メインの体験を終えて向かったのが、今回の訪問目的である「ミライのタネ」エリアです。こちらでは、私たちの「サイバーセキュリティダッシュボード」をはじめとした住友グループの様々な最先端技術や取り組みが展示されています。
嬉しいことに、サイバーセキュリティダッシュボードのパネルは右側中央という、最も目につきやすい位置に設置されていました！
パネルに設置されたQRコードを読み取ると、開発者の想いや取り組みの詳細についてご覧いただけますので、お手持ちのスマートフォンからぜひアクセスしてみてください。
入場規制などでメインの体験に参加できなかった場合でも、「ミライのタネ」エリアは住友館出口のグッズ販売ブース付近から待ち時間なく自由に入場いただけます。万博を訪問される際は、ぜひお立ち寄りください。
番外編：STARLINK通信検証レポート
災害時・緊急時の通信確保への取り組み
大勢が集まるイベントでは電波障害が問題となることがありますが、今回の万博会場では適切な対策が講じられており、訪問中に通信トラブルは発生しませんでした。
しかし、セキュリティ業務に従事する者として、一刻を争う深刻なインシデントが発生した際には、いかなる状況下でも迅速に対応できる体制が必要です。
そこで今回は、万博会場でSTARLINK miniを用いたフォレンジック作業の実証実験を行いました。

フォレンジック実施手順
今回の検証ではダミーデータを用いて下記手順③〜⑤の作業を実施しました。

①データ収集ツールCDIR-Cを用いて被害端末のメモリやイベントログ等のデータを収集
②収集したデータを作業者に転送
③電波が不安定/届かない環境でSTARLINKを用いてデータをダウンロード
④解析ツールCDIR-Aを用いてデータを調査

検証結果と課題
検証の結果、電波が不安定/届かない環境下においてもSTARLINKを用いることで、軽量ファイルのダウンロード、解析時のWeb検索およびチャットベースでの報告は問題なく実施できることを確認しました。
一方で、あいにくの曇天の影響か通信が不安定となり、断続的に途切れてしまう現象が発生しました。
そのため、ビデオ会議などの同期が必要な通信での報告や、ファイルサイズの大きいデータの解析には課題が残りました。

Osaka Expo Sumitomo Pavilion Visit Report Field Inspection of Cybersecurity Dashboard Exhibition at the "Seeds of the Future" Area
The Osaka Expo continues to break daily attendance records. Among the numerous pavilions, the highly popular Sumitomo Pavilion features our CISO Oversight Office's "Cybersecurity Dashboard" initiative in its "Seeds of the Future" area.
We recently conducted a site visit to inspect the exhibition and would like to share our findings in this report.
The Sumitomo Pavilion has gained such popularity that advance reservations are notoriously difficult to secure through the lottery system. However, same-day entry may be possible depending on timing, so we encourage visitors to check availability upon arrival.
Striking Architectural Design and Immersive Experience
The Sumitomo Pavilion features distinctive wooden architecture that harmonizes beautifully with the Great Ring, the iconic symbol of this Osaka Expo. The main experience area, "UNKNOWN FOREST," allows visitors to freely explore a mystical forest environment true to its name.

While we avoid providing detailed spoilers, the experience delivers high satisfaction levels that justify the lengthy wait times.The forest contains several well-concealed secret rooms that visitors should definitely seek out during their exploration.
Exhibition Status at the "Seeds of the Future" Area
After completing the main experience, we proceeded to our primary destination: the "Seeds of the Future" area. This space showcases various cutting-edge technologies and initiatives from Sumitomo Group companies, including our "Cybersecurity Dashboard."
We were pleased to discover that our Cybersecurity Dashboard panel was positioned in the right-center area—the most prominent and visible location in the exhibition space.
Visitors can scan the QR code on the panel to access detailed information about our developers' vision and comprehensive project details using their smartphones.
Even visitors who cannot access the main experience due to capacity restrictions can freely enter the "Seeds of the Future" area without wait times through the exit near the gift shop. We encourage all Expo visitors to stop by this area.
Special Feature: STARLINK Communication Verification Report
Ensuring Communication Infrastructure During Disasters and Emergencies
While large-scale events often experience communication disruptions, the Expo venue implemented effective countermeasures, and we encountered no communication issues during our visit.
However, as cybersecurity professionals, we must maintain the capability to respond swiftly to critical incidents regardless of circumstances. When time-sensitive security incidents occur, immediate response capability is essential.
Therefore, we conducted a practical verification test using STARLINK mini for forensic operations at the Expo venue.

Verification Results and Areas for Improvement
The verification successfully demonstrated that STARLINK enables reliable execution of lightweight file downloads, web searches during analysis, and chat-based reporting even in environments with unstable or limited connectivity.
While the overcast weather conditions may have contributed to some communication variability, we observed occasional brief connection interruptions. These intermittent fluctuations resulted in minor limitations for video conferencing applications and processing of larger data files, which we have identified as areas for potential optimization in future deployments.
