Setup Menu

On the [Setup Menu] screen, you can confirm, register, or change Address Book for the [Scan To PC] and [Scan To E-mail] features, or subjects and comments for the [Scan To E-mail] feature.

The following explains how to navigate the [Setup Menu] screen.




Navigating the [Setup Menu] Screen

To display the setting screen:

  1. Select an item you want to confirm or configure in the left frame.

    The setting of the item is displayed in the right frame.

To change the settings:

  1. The settings can be changed on the drop-down menus, text boxes, and check boxes.

    The current settings on the drop-down menus are indicated with an asterisk (*).
    Some items limit the amount of information that can be entered by specific amount of bytes. It takes 1 byte to express one single-byte character and 2 bytes to express one double-byte character.


  2. When you are finished with the settings, click the [Apply] button at the bottom of the right frame.

    The new settings are transferred and applied to the scanner.
    If you change the settings of certain items, a message saying "Reboot system for new settings to take effect." appears. If the message appears, switch the scanner off and then on again to apply the new settings.

    If you open a password-locked folder on the [Setup Menu] screen , you will be prompted to enter a "user name" and "password". Enter the password to the folder in [Password]. You do not need to enter a user name in [User Name]. Any user names enter in this field will be invalid.
    The folder can be opened also by entering the administrator ID and password.
