Subject List
The [Subject List] page can be displayed by clicking [Subject] in the left frame on the [Setup Menu] screen.
On this page, you can register, confirm, change, or delete subjects to be used for the [Scan To E-mail] feature.
Default Subject Number
Select the number of a subject that you want to set as a default.
Number
Displays the subject numbers.
When you click the [Create], [Confirm/Change], or [Delete] button for a password-locked subject, a dialog box prompting you to enter a "user name" and "password" appears.
If the dialog box appears, enter the password for the subject in [Password]. You do not need to enter a user name in [User Name]. Any user names entered in this field will be invalid. The subject can be opened also by entering the administrator ID and password. The administrator ID and password can be changed under [Internet Services Settings] on the [Properties] screen.
Once your password is authenticated and the subject opens, you will remain authenticated until you exit CentreWare Internet Services. This also means that you will be able to open other subjects set with the same password without entering the password again.
Content
Displays the contents of the registered subjects.
[Delete] button
When clicked after selecting the check box next to the subject to be deleted, the [Delete Subject] page appears. You can delete the subject on this page. The following subjects cannot be deleted.
- Unregistered subjects
- Password-locked subjects
To delete password-locked subjects, you must have subject authentication to do so.
Create New Subject
The [Create New Subject] page can be displayed by clicking the [Create] button on the [Subject List] page.
You can register a new subject on this page.
Subject
Enter the subject.
- Enter in single or double-byte characters within 36 bytes.
- Control characters (such as linefeeds) cannot be used.
- If you leave this blank and click [Apply New Settings], any subjects entered previously will be canceled.
Change Password
Select this check box if you want to lock the subject with a password.
Enter Password
Enter the password within 4 to 8 single-byte numbers. This item is mandatory when the [Change Password] check box is selected.
Confirm Password
Re-enter the password you entered in [Password]. This setting is required when the [Set Password] check box is selected.

Confirm/Change Subject
The [Confirm/Change Subject] page can be displayed by clicking the [Confirm/Change] button on the [Subject List] page.
You can change a registered subject on this page.
Subject
Enter the subject.
