Comment List
The [Comment List] page can be displayed by clicking [Comment] in the left frame on the [Setup Menu] screen.
On this page, you can register, confirm, change, or delete comments (e-mail texts) to be used for the [Scan To E-mail] feature.
Number
Displays the comment numbers.
When you click the [Create], [Confirm/Change], or [Delete] button for a password-locked comment, a dialog box prompting you to enter a "user name" and "password" appears.
If the dialog box appears, enter the password for the comment in [Password]. You do not need to enter a user name in [User Name]. Any user names entered in this field will be invalid. The comment can be opened also by entering the administrator ID and password. The administrator ID and password can be changed under [Internet Services Settings] on the [Properties] screen.
Once your password is authenticated and the comment opens, you will remain authenticated until you exit CentreWare Internet Services. This also means that you will be able to open other comments set with the same password without entering the password again.
Content
Displays the contents of the registered comments.
[Delete] button
When clicked after selecting the check box next to the comment to be deleted, the [Delete Comment] page appears. You can delete the comment on this page. The following comments cannot be deleted.
- Unregistered comments
- Password-locked comments
To delete password-locked comments, you must have comment authentication to do so.
Create New Comment
The [Create New Comment] page can be displayed by clicking the [Create] button on the [Comment List] page.
You can register a new comment on this page.
Comment
Enter the comment.
- Enter in single or double-byte characters within 192 bytes.
- Control characters other than linefeeds (such as tabs) cannot be used.
- If you leave this blank and click [Apply New Settings], any comments entered previously will be canceled.
Change Password
Select this check box if you want to lock the comment with a password.
Enter Password
Enter the password within 4 to 8 single-byte numbers. This item is mandatory when the [Change Password] check box is selected.
Confirm Password
Re-enter the password you entered in [Enter Password]. This item is mandatory when the [Change Password] check box is selected.

Confirm/Change Comment
The [Confirm/Change Comment] page can be displayed by clicking the [Confirm/Change] button on the [Comment List] page.
You can change a registered comment on this page.
