日本IT団体連盟「サイバーインデックス企業調査2025」で最高位の二つ星を獲得
サイバーインデックス企業調査は「一般社団法人 日本IT団体連盟」が実施する、日経500種平均構成銘柄の企業を対象としたサイバーセキュリティへの取組姿勢に関する調査及び、格付け活動です。
本調査は民間企業のサイバーセキュリティ対策の情報開示の促進を目的としており、優れた取組姿勢および情報開示を確認できた企業に対して星を付与します。本調査は企業の情報セキュリティを測る指標としてグローバルな投資家からも高い評価を得ています。
NECは総合評価において「特に優れた取り組み姿勢および情報開示を継続的に確認できた企業」として、最高位の「二つ星」を付与いただきました。最高評価の獲得は4年連続となり、NECのサイバーセキュリティ対策が継続して高く評価されている証といえます。
NECは、国際基準に基づいたグローバル統一のセキュリティポリシーを展開し、深刻化するサイバー攻撃に対するインテリジェンス（事前防御）やレジリエンス（攻撃からの回復能力）の強化など、網羅的な防御体制を構築しています。また、経営層から一般社員までグローバル一体となった「全員参加」のセキュリティカルチャー変革を実現し、サプライチェーン全体でのリスク管理とセキュリティマネジメントサイクルを確立しています。
近年の情勢、動向においてNECの「Purpose（存在意義）」である『安全・安心・公平・効率』という社会価値創造の根幹を支えるサイバーセキュリティが、単なるIT課題ではなく、経営に資する重要事項であることを明示すべく、これらのサイバーセキュリティの取り組みについて、ステークホルダーのみなさまにご理解いただけるよう「サイバーセキュリティ経営報告書2025」を発行しております。
NECは今後も「Value Creator」として、「クライアントゼロ」による社内実践で培った知見を社会に還元するとともに、「.JP（日本のサイバー空間）を守る」をスローガンに、その実践の中核となるサービスである「CyIOC」を通じて、独自のサイバー脅威インテリジェンスの提供や、国産AI技術を活用した安全性・機能性の両立、グローバルでの推進体制により、日本のサイバー空間の安全性確保に貢献し、安心で信頼できるデジタル社会を実現してまいります。

NEC Achieves Highest Rating for Cybersecurity Excellence
～Earns "Two-Star" Top Rating for Third Consecutive Year
in Cyber Index Survey 2025～
The Cyber Index Corporate Survey is a research and rating activity conducted by the Information Technology Federation of Japan (ITrenmei). It assesses the cybersecurity commitment of companies listed in the Nikkei 500 Stock Average. The survey comprehensively evaluates cybersecurity measures and information disclosure efforts, awarding stars to companies that demonstrate outstanding commitment and transparency. This survey has gained high recognition from global investors as a key indicator of corporate information security.
NEC received the highest rating of "Two Stars" in the overall evaluation, recognized as "a company that has continuously demonstrated particularly outstanding commitment and information disclosure." This marks our fourth consecutive year achieving the highest rating, confirming that NEC's cybersecurity measures continue to be highly valued.
NEC has deployed globally unified security policies based on international standards. We have established a comprehensive defense framework that strengthens both threat intelligence and resilience capabilities against increasingly severe cyber attacks. Additionally, we have achieved a company-wide security culture transformation that engages everyone from management to general employees globally. We have also established risk management and security governance cycles across our entire supply chain.
In light of recent circumstances and trends, we recognize that cybersecurity—which underpins the core social values of "safety, security, fairness, and efficiency" that represent NEC's Purpose—is not merely an IT issue but a critical matter that contributes to management. To help our stakeholders understand these cybersecurity initiatives, we have published the "Cybersecurity Management Report 2025."
Moving forward, as a "Value Creator," NEC will continue to give back to society the knowledge we have cultivated through our "Client Zero" approach, where we serve as our own first customer to validate solutions before offering them externally. Under the slogan "Protecting Japan's Cyberspace," we will contribute to ensuring cyber safety through "CyIOC," our core service that embodies this commitment. Through CyIOC, we provide proprietary cyber threat intelligence, achieve a balance of security and functionality utilizing domestic AI technology, and maintain a global implementation framework. Through these efforts, we aim to realize a secure and trustworthy digital society.
