[User Accounts] (Permissions)

Note

This item appears when [Local Authentication] is selected for [User Authentication] from the operator panel of the printer.

You can check the list of registered user accounts in the printer. To edit the settings of each user account, click the user name and display the details of the user (permissions) dialog box.

[Add]

Displays the [Add New Account] dialog box.

[User Name]

Enter the user name. The following characters can be entered:

Up to 32 bytes

[Password]

Enter the password. When you do not want to set the password, leave the text box blank. The following characters can be entered:

Between 4 bytes and 128 bytes (single-byte only)
Alphanumeric characters, symbols, and spaces

[Retype Password]

Enter the same character string in [Password].
