[Wi-Fi] Dialog Box


You can specify the communication environment via Wi-Fi.

Note

This setting becomes available when you restart the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or manually turn off and on the printer on the operator panel of the printer.

[MAC Address]

Displays the current MAC address when the printer is connected to a wireless network.

[Link Channel]

Displays the channel number of the connection when the printer is connected to a wireless network.

[Link Quality]

Displays the quality of the connection when the printer is connected to a wireless network.

[SSID]

Enter the name to identify the wireless network. The following characters can be entered:

[Network Type]

Select the network type.

[TCP/IP Settings]

To edit the settings, click [Edit] to display [Ethernet].

[Security Settings]

[Encryption Type]

Select the security method. When you do not use encryption, select [No Security].

♦When [WEP] Is Selected for [Encryption Type]

[Transmit Key]

Select the WEP key to be used.

[WEP Key 1]/[WEP Key 2]/[WEP Key 3]/[WEP Key 4]

Enter the WEP key.

[Retype WEP Key 1]/[Retype WEP Key 2]/[Retype WEP Key 3]/[Retype WEP Key 4]

Enter the same WEP key in each WEP key.

♦When [WPA2 Personal] or [Mixed WPA2 Personal] Is Selected for [Encryption Type]

[Passcode]

Select the passcode to be used.

[Retype Passcode]

Enter the same passcode in [Passcode].

♦When [WPA2 Enterprise] or [Mixed WPA2 Enterprise] Is Selected for [Encryption Type]

[Authentication Method]

Select the authentication method.

[Root Certificate]

Select the certificate to be used.

[EAP-Identity]

Enter the EAP-Identity.

[Login Name]

Enter the login user name for WPA-Enterprise authentication. The following characters can be entered:

[Password]

Enter the password for WPA-Enterprise. A null cannot be set.

[Retype Password]

Enter the same character string in [Password].
