[User Accounts] (Permissions)
This item appears when [Off] is not selected for [User Authentication].
You can check the list of registered user accounts in the printer. To edit the settings of each user account, click the user name and display the Details of the user (Permissions) dialog box.
[Setup] > [Add New Account]
Displays the [Add New Account] dialog box.

[User Name]
Enter the user name. The following characters can be entered:
- Up to 32 bytes
[IC Card ID]
When you use an IC card, enter the IC card ID.
[Password]
Enter the password. When you do not want to set the password, leave the text box blank. The following characters can be entered:
- Between 4 bytes and 128 bytes (single-byte only)
- Alphanumeric characters, symbols, and spaces
[Retype Password]
Enter the same character string in [Password].
[Setup] > [Guest User Settings]
Displays the [Edit Permissions] dialog box.
You can specify the functions for the users who are not currently logged in to the printer.
