• "Out of paper": The tray is empty.
• "Ready": Some paper is left but the volume is uncertain.
• "Add paper": Remaining volume is uncertain but it is time to add paper.
• "--": Unable to determine whether there is any remaining paper.

• "Full": The output tray is full.
• "Ready": The tray is still available for output but the capacity is unknown.
  Remove paper from the output tray when "Full" is displayed.

For toner:

• "n%"(n denotes 100, 80, 60, 40, or 30): n% toner is left.
• "Ready": Sufficient but unknown level of toner is left.
• "Out of toner": The printer has run out of toner.
• "Replace soon": The amount left is unknown but it is time to replace the toner.
  (The broad estimation of the remaining amount is less than 25%.)
• "--": Unable to determine whether there is any remaining toner.

For consumables other than toner:

• "n%"(n denotes 100, 80, 60, 40, 30, 20, or 10): n% of the consumable is left.
• "Ready": Sufficient but unknown level of the consumable is left.
• "Replace now": Empty
• "Replace soon": The amount left is uncertain but it is time to replace the consumable.
  (The broad estimation of the remaining amount is less than 2%.)
• "--": Unable to determine the remaining level.
