Logical Printer Settings - HP-GL/2
This page allows you to configure HP-GL/2 logical printers.
Login Printer Number
Enter the number of the logical printer to be registered or edited, and click the [Edit] button.
If requesting print jobs using lpr commands, specify this number as the printer (queue) name.
[Edit] button
Clicking this button displays a page which allows you to configure the detailed settings. The items that can be configured are described in "HP-GL/2 Logical Printer Settings". For more information, refer to the Emulation Setting Guide in the CD-ROM provided with the printer.
Memory Settings
Select a memory setting to be used the next time the printer starts.
If you click the [Edit] button after changing, the setting is returned to the original state.

HP-GL/2 Logical Printer Settings
Set the following items to configure the details of a HP-GL/2 logical printer.
The features that can be used differ depending on the model of your printer and the options installed. The menus and items for the features not supported by your printer are not displayed.
Login Printer Number
Displays the logical printer that is currently being edited.
Document Size
Set the size of documents to be printed.
Paper Tray
Select the paper tray to be used. If [Auto] is selected, a tray will be automatically selected by the system.
Output Size
Set the paper size to be used when printing.
Print Quantity Setup
Select the method of specifying the print quantity.
Quantity
Specify the number of copies to be printed within the range of 1 to 999.
2 Sided Printing
Select whether to enable 2-sided printing. This option appears only if the printer supports 2-sided printing.
Coordinate Rotation
Select the degree of coordinate rotation.
Area Determine Mode
Select the area determination mode.
Auto Layout
Select whether to enable the Auto Layout function.
Zoom
Select whether to enable the Zoom function.
Zoom Mode
Select the zoom mode.
Hard Clip
Select one from the Hard Clip options.
Up/Down Adjustment
To shift the print area vertically, specify the amount of shift within the range of -250 to 250 mm.
Left/Right Adjustment
To shift the print area horizontally, specify the amount of shift within the range of -250 to 250 mm.
Paper Margin
Specify the paper margin.
Gradation Mode
Select the pen mode.
Palette Setup
Select the method of specifying the available palette.
Kanji Font
Select one from the kanji font list.
Alphanumeric Font
Select one from the alphanumeric font list.
HP-GL Mode
Select one from the HP-GL modes.
Emulation Target
Select the target printer of the emulation.
Eject Command
Select the eject command(s) by marking the check box(es).
Image Enhancement
Select whether to enable the Image Enhancement function.
Bypass Tray - Wait User
Select this check box if you want the printer to wait until you feed paper when using the bypass tray.
Pen Attributes - Width
Specify the pen width within the range of 0.0 to 25.5 in 0.1 increments.
Pen Attributes - Line End
Select a line end type.
Pen Attributes - Intersect
Select a line intersection type.
Pen Attributes - Density
Specify the pen density within the range of 0 to 100 in 5 increments.
[Delete] button
If the settings of a logical printer that is already registered are displayed on the window, the [Delete] button appears at the upper right corner of the frame. Click this button if you want to delete the logical printer.
[Save] button
Transfers the settings to the printer and registers the logical printer.
[Undo] button
Resets new settings to the original values without transferring them to the printer.
[Back] button
Returns to the previous page without transferring the settings to the printer.
