Port Settings - Wireless LAN

This page allows you to configure the wireless network settings.
To connect the printer with a wireless network, be sure to disconnect the Ethernet cable.

Wireless Settings
SSID
Enter the name that identifies the wireless network within 32 bytes.


Network Type
Select the network type from drop down list.


• Ad-Hoc
  Select this to make the printer and computer communicate directly with each other without an access point.
  
  
• Infrastructure
  Select this to make the printer and computer communicate through an access point such as a wireless router.
  
  


MAC Address
Displays the current MAC address of the printer.


Link Channel
Displays the channel number of the connection.


Link Quality
Displays the wireless signal strength.

Security Settings
Encryption
Select the security method from drop-down list.


• No Security
  Select this to communicate without encryption.
  
  
• WEP 64bits Ascii (5Bytes)
  Select this to use the WEP 64bits Ascii (5Bytes).
  
  
• WEP 128bits Ascii (13Bytes)
  Select this to use the WEP 128bits Ascii (13Bytes).
  
  
• WEP 64bits Hex (10Bytes)
  Select this to use the WEP 64bits Hex (10Bytes).
  
  
• WEP 128bits Hex (26Bytes)
  Select this to use the WEP 128bits Hex (26Bytes).
  
  
• WPA-PSK AES
  Select this to use the WPA-PSK AES.
  
  
• WPA2-PSK-AES
  Select this to use the WPA2-PSK AES.
  
  
• WPA-PSK TKIP
  Select this to use the WPA-PSK TKIP.
  
  

WEP Key 1
WEP Key 2
WEP Key 3
WEP Key 4
Enter the WEP Key within 26 bytes. The key you entered is displayed as circles.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles depending on your web browser.


Re-enter WEP Key 1
Re-enter WEP Key 2
Re-enter WEP Key 3
Re-enter WEP Key 4
Enter the WEP Key again for confirmation.

Transmit Key
Select the WEP key number from drop-down list.

WPA-PSK-AES/WPA-PSK-TKIP/WPA2-PSK-AES
This setting is valid when [WPA-PSK AES], [WPA2-PSK-AES] or [WPA-PSK TKIP] is selected in [Encryption].


Pass Phrase
Enter the pass phrase from 8 to 63 bytes.


Re-enter Pass Phrase
Enter the pass phrase again for confirmation.
