Address Book

On the [Address Book] tab, you can add, edit and delete an address/group in each of the Address Book pages of [Fax / E-mail] and [Network Scan (Comp./Serv.) ]. The default ID and password are "admin" and "NECPRADMIN".



Fax / E-mail - Personal Address

Displays the [Personal Address] page of [Fax / E-mail] where you can add, edit and delete individual directory entry in the fax/e-mail address book.

There are six columns: [No.], [Name], [Phone Number], [Address], unnamed (reserved for [Delete]), and unnamed (reserved for [Add] or [Edit]).
When an address has not been registered, the [Name] column lists "(Not in Use)". The [Add] or [Edit] column lists [Add]. The [Phone Number], [Address] and [Delete] columns are blank.
When an address has been added to the listing, the name, phone number and e-mail address are displayed in the [Name], [Phone Number] and [Address] columns. The [Add] or [Edit] column changes to [Edit], and [Delete] is displayed in the [Delete] column.
[Directory List to:] contains 99 entries. The first group of 20 displays in the table. Below the table there are five buttons labelled [001-020], [021-040], [041-060], [061-080], [081-099]. Click any button to view other entries.

To add an entry:

Procedure

  1. Select any unused line and click [Add] in the last column to display the [Add Personal Address] page.

  2. Enter a name, phone number and e-mail address in the [Name], [Phone Number] and [E-mail Address] fields.

  3. Click [Apply].

To edit an entry:

Procedure

  1. Click a name in the [Name] column, or [Edit] in the last column to display the [Edit Personal Address] page.

  2. Edit the [Name], [Phone Number] and [E-mail Address] fields as required.

  3. Click [Apply].

To delete an entry:

Procedure

  1. Click [Delete] to display the [Delete Personal Address] page.

  2. Click [OK].



Fax / E-mail – Fax Group

Displays the [Fax Groups] page of [Fax / E-mail] where you can add, edit and delete fax group directory entry.

There are four columns: [Group No.], [Group Name], unnamed (reserved for [Delete]), and unnamed (reserved for [Add] or [Edit]).
When a group has not been registered, the [Group Name] column lists "(No Group)". The [Add] or [Edit] column lists [Add]. The [Delete] column is blank.
When a group has been added to the listing, the group name is displayed in the [Group Name] column. The [Add] or [Edit] column changes to [Edit], and [Delete] is displayed in the [Delete] column.

To add an entry:

  1. Select any unused line and click [Add] in the last column to display the [Add Fax Group] page.

  2. Enter a group name in the [Group Name] field.

  3. Click [Apply].

To edit an entry:

  1. Click a group name in the [Group Name] column, or [Edit] in the last column to display the [Edit Fax Group] page.

  2. Edit a group name in the [Group Name] field.

  3. Select group entries as required. You can register maximum 50 phone numbers per group.

  4. Click [Apply].

To delete an entry:

Procedure

  1. Click [Delete] to display the [Delete Fax Group] page.

  2. Click [OK].



Fax / E-mail - E-Mail Group

Displays the [E-Mail Groups] page of [Fax / E-mail] where you can add, edit and delete e-mail group directory entry.

Fax / E-mail – Edit E-mail Message

Displays the [Edit E-mail Message] page of [Fax / E-mail] where you can set the default subject and body text for e-mails.

There are two text boxes: [Subject Text] and [Message Text]. In the [Subject Text] box, you can enter the default subject used for e-mail up to 50 bytes. In the [Message Text] box, you can enter the default body text used for e-mail up to 200 bytes.

Network Scan (Comp./Serv.) - Computer/Server Address Book

Displays the [Computer/Server Address Book] page of [Network Scan (Comp./Serv.)] where you can add, edit and delete computer/server directory entry in the computer/server address book.

There are five columns: [No.], [Name (Displayed on Printer)], [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)], unnamed (reserved for [Delete]), and unnamed (reserved for [Add] or [Edit]).
When a server has not been registered, the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] column lists "(Not in Use)". The [Add] or [Edit] column lists [Add]. The [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)] and the [Delete] columns are blank.
When a server has been added to the listing, its information is displayed in the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] and [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)] columns. The [Add] or [Edit] column changes to [Edit], and [Delete] is displayed in the [Delete] column.
The [Directory List to:] contains 32 entries. The first group of 20 displays in the table. Below the table there are two buttons labelled [01-20], [21-32]. Click any button to view other entries.

To add an entry:

Procedure

  1. Select any unused line and click [Add] in the last column to display the [Add Network Scan Address] page.

  2. For the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] field, enter a name for the server up to 32 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.

  3. For the [Network Type] field, select a server type from [Sever FTP] or [Computer SMB].

  4. For the [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)] field, enter the server address in IP address or FQDN format using alphanumeric characters up to 64 bytes. The characters that can be entered include period (".") and dash ("-").

  5. For the [Port Number] field, enter the port number in the range specified. The range is 21 or any number between 5000 and 65535 when you select [Sever FTP] for server type. When you select [Computer SMB], the range is 139 or any number between 5000 and 65535. When the default port number is used, no entry is required.

  6. For the [Login Name (if required by host)] field, enter a login name for logging in using alphanumeric characters up to 97 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.

  7. For the [Login Password] field, enter a password using up to 32 alphanumeric characters. A space is acceptable as a character.
    The password you entered is displayed as circles.
    The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles depending on your web browser.

  8. Re-enter your password in the [Re-enter Password] field. A space is acceptable as a character.
    The password you entered is displayed as circles.
    The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles depending on your web browser.

  9. For the [Name of Shared Directory] field, enter a share name of the SMB server up to 32 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.
    This is saved only when [Computer SMB] is selected for [Network Type].

  10. For the [Subdirectory Path (optional)] field, enter the server path up to 96 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.

  11. Click [Apply].

To edit an entry:

Procedure

  1. Click an entry in the [Name (Displayed on Printer) ] column, or [Edit] in the last column to display the [Edit Network Scan Address] page.

  2. Edit the entries as required.
    The [Network Type] entry cannnot be changed.

  3. Click [Apply].

To delete an entry:
