[Language Emulations]


Configure the settings about emulation. You can configure the settings for print languages to be used with each interface and logical printers used with each emulation.

[ART EX]

[Version]

Displays the version of ART EX.

[ART IV]

Configure the settings related to ART IV. A combination of frequently used settings can be set as a logical printer.

[Version]

Displays the version of ART IV.

[Form Management]

Clicking the [Form List] button displays items related to information from the retrieved forms.

[ESC/P]

[Version]

Displays the version of ESC/P.

[Memory Settings]

Select the number corresponding to the logical printer to be used by default when the printer is started.

[Logical Printer List]

Lists the logical printers.

Click a logical printer to edit it.

[Original Size]

Set the original size.

[Paper Supply]

Set the paper tray to use. If you select [Auto Select], the printer will automatically select tray.

[Paper Size]

Set the size of paper to use for printing.

[Paper Orientation]

Set the orientation of paper.

[Page Position (Cut Sheet Feeder Installed)]

Set whether the printer is equipped with Cut Sheet Feeder. When the printer receives FF (a line break command), it feeds the number of lines that are set in VFU if it is not equipped with Cut Sheet Feeder, or insert a line break if equipped with Cut Sheet Feeder.

[Output Destination]

Set the output destination. Output trays equipped on the printer are displayed.

This item is displayed when two or more output destinations exist.

[Print Quantity Setup]

Set how the number of copies to print is set.

[Quantity]

Set the number of copies to print.

[2 Sided]

Set whether to run 2-sided printing.

[Pages per Side]

Configure the N-up settings.

[Zoom]

Set how the zoom ratio is specified.

[Independent Y%]

Set the zoom ratio in a Y direction.

[Independent X%]

Set the zoom ratio in an X direction.

[Up/Down Adjustment]

To adjust the position of the image in a vertical direction, set a value in the range from -250 to 250 mm.

[Left/Right Adjustment]

To adjust the position of the image in a horizontal direction, set a value in the range from -250 to 250 mm.

[Number of Characters]

Set whether to extend the position of the right margin.

[Page Length]

Set the length of one page (printing area) to 11 inches or 12 inches.

[1 inch Skip]

Set whether to add white space of 1 inch between pages.

[Skip Blank Pages]

Set whether to eliminate printing of blank pages on which there is no data to print, such as pages containing a line break only on them.

[Feed Position]

Set the print start position to 8.5 mm or 22 mm from the top edge of paper.

[Kanji Font]

Set the font to use for 2-byte characters (Kanji). This font is also applied to 2-byte half-width characters.

[Alphanumeric Font]

Set the font to use for 1-byte characters (ANK).

[0 Style]

Set the character style to use for the number 0.

[Kanji Code Table]

Set the Kanji code table to use.

[Character Code Table]

Set the character code table to use when printing 1-byte alphanumeric characters. Set this item to [Kana] when using the domestic version of applications, or [Graphics] when using the overseas version.

[Character Code]

Set the character code.

[Minimum Text]

1-byte alphanumeric characters can be printed with the size of them reduced. Set whether to reduce or print at 1x.

[Ruled Line]

Set how 2-byte ruled line fonts are printed.

[Specify Extension]

Extensions can be specified. An extension is two bytes at the beginning of extended commands. When the extender is specified, printing can be controlled using text code.

[Extension]

To enable control of printing with text code, specify the extension (leading two bytes) for extended commands, that consists of two letters.

[Prefix of Binary Data]

Binary print data that contains the specified four characters will be displayed in hexadecimal. There are two ways to do this.

[CR Functions]

Set the behavior of autowrap when print data exceeds the position of the right margin.

[Form Type]

Set the type of the form to use with form overlay printing.

[Form Overlay]

Set the name of the form file to use with form overlay printing within 8 half-width characters.

[Output Color]

Set the color mode to use.

[Staple]

Set whether to apply stapling.

This item can be set when the optional finisher is installed.

[Hole Punch]

Set whether to apply hole punching

This item can be set when the optional finisher is installed.

[Image Enhancement]

Set whether to enable image enhancement.

[Draft Mode]

To prioritize print speed over print quality, select this option.

[Bypass Tray - Wait User]

Set whether to have the printer wait until the user feeds paper when using the bypass tray.

[Bar Code Mode]

Set the bar code mode to use. When the bar code mode is set, bar codes are printed with crisp outlines.

[Form Management]

Clicking the [Form List] button displays items related to information from the retrieved forms.

[HP-GL/2]

This item can be set only when the printer is equipped with the optional Emulation Kit or the optional Adobe PostScript 3 Kit.

[Version]

Displays the version of HP-GL/2.

[Memory Settings]

Select the number corresponding to the logical printer to be used by default when the printer is started.

[Logical Printer List]

Lists the logical printers.

Click a logical printer to edit it.

[Original Size]

Set the original size.

[Paper Supply]

[Hard Clip]

Set the hard clipping method to use.

[Up/Down Adjustment]

To adjust the position of the image in a vertical direction, set a value in the range from -250 to 250 mm.

[Left/Right Adjustment]

To adjust the position of the image in a horizontal direction, set a value in the range from -250 to 250 mm.

[Paper Margin]

Set the paper margin in the range from 0 to 99.

[Output Color]

Set whether to run the job in color or black & white.

[Gradation Mode]

Select the gradation mode.

[Palette Setup]

Set how the valid palette having priority is specified.

[Kanji Font]

Set the font to use for 2-byte characters (Kanji). This font is also applied to 2-byte half-width characters.

[Alphanumeric Font]

Set the font to use for 1-byte characters (ANK).

[Staple]

Set whether to apply stapling.

This item can be set only when the optional finisher is installed.

[Hole Punch]

Set whether to apply hole punching

This item can be set only when the optional finisher is installed.

[Z Fold Half Sheet]

Set whether to apply Z folding. This item is displayed when the optional finisher and folding unit are installed.

[Rotate Landscape Original by 180]

Set whether to rotate the images of landscape originals 180 degrees.

[HP-GL Mode]

Select the HP-GL mode to use.

[Emulation Target]

Select the device to emulate.

[Eject Command]

Set eject commands.

[Image Enhancement]

Set whether to enable image enhancement.

[Bypass Tray - Wait User]

Set whether to have the printer wait until the user feeds paper when using the bypass tray.

[Pen Attributes]

Set each item for pen attributes.

[PC-PR201H]

This item can be set only when the printer is equipped with the optional Emulation Kit or the optional Adobe PostScript 3 Kit.

[Version]

Displays the version of PC-PR201H.

[Memory Settings]

Select the number corresponding to the logical printer to be used by default when the printer is started.

[Logical Printer List]

Lists the logical printers.

Click a logical printer to edit it.

[Original Size]

Set the original size.

[Graphical Dots]

Set the type to determine the number of horizontal dots in graphical (dot printing) mode.

[Ruled Line]

Set how 2-byte ruled line fonts are printed.

[Data Size]

Set the size of data in bits.

[Autowrap]

Set the behavior of autowrap when print data exceeds the position of the right margin. [CR] enforces carriage return only. [CR/LF] enforces carriage return and line feed.

[Print Command]

Set commands for starting printing. When [All] is selected, CR, LF, VT, FF, US, ESC-a and ESC-b act as commands for starting printing.

[Specify Extension]

Extensions can be specified. An extension is two bytes at the beginning of extended commands. When the extender is specified, printing can be controlled using text code.

Set the default value for the font pitch (the number of letters per inch).

Set the default value for the font size.

Set the default font. You can select from available fonts.

[Symbol Set]

Set the default symbol set. You can select from available symbol sets.

[Lines per Page]

Set the default number of lines for forms.

[Treat "LF" as "CR + LF" and "FF" as "CR + FF"]

Set the default of whether to handle the incoming control character LF or FF as the one to which CR is added.

[Treat "CR" as "CR + LF"]

Set the behavior of autowrap when print data exceeds the position of the right margin.

[HexDump]

Set whether to enable HexDump.

[Image Enhancement]

Set whether to enable image enhancement.

[Macro / Font Management]

[Macro Management]

Set each item for macros to use.

Advanced settings can be configured on the [PCL Macro Management] screen displayed when you click the [Macro Management].

To register macros, do it on the [Add PCL Macro] screen displayed when you click the [Add] button.

[Font Management]

Set each item for PCL fonts to use.

Advanced settings can be configured on the [PCL Font Management] screen displayed when you click the [Font Management].

To register macros, do it on the [Add PCL Font] screen displayed when you click the [Add] button.

[Paper Supply Command]

Displays view items related to the mapping between PCL paper supply commands and paper trays.
Clicking the [Paper Supply Command] displays all of the items in information about the retrieved paper supply commands.

This item is displayed if the printer is equipped with a storage.

[PDF]

[Version]

Displays the version of PDF.

[Switch Decomposer]

Select the type of decomposer that processes PDF data.

[Image Processing Priority for PDF Bridge]

Set the PDF Bridge image quality when high quality is selected.

[Image Quality Control for PDF Bridge]

Set the image quality control for PDF Bridge.

[Quantity]

Set the number of copies to print.

[Paper Size]

Set the size of paper to use for printing.

[Output Color]

Set the color mode to use.

[2 Sided]

Set whether to run 2-sided printing, and bind orientation.

[Collated]

Set whether to use the digital sort feature.

[Print Mode]

Set the print mode to use.

[Layout]

Set the way how PDF pages should be positioned on physical paper sheets.

Set whether to print an error report when errors occur during PostScript processing.

Configure the PostScript DMS (Deferred Media Selection) settings.

Select the number corresponding to the logical printer to be used by default when the printer is started.

[Password]

Set the password to be used by default when submitting jobs/configuring the system settings.

[Retype Password]

Enter the password again to confirm it matches.

[Common Settings]

[Print Position of User Details]

Set whether to print user information. If you select to print user information, also select the print position.

[Print User Details with Date]

If you selected to print user information, set whether to append the date.

[Font Size]

Set the font size in which user information is printed.

[Logical Printer List]

Lists the logical printers.

Displaying Profiles

When the storage option is enabled, and if the printer is a color model, information about profiles is displayed, including CMYK profile, RGB source profile, and RGB output profile.

[TIFF / JPEG Settings]

Configure the settings related to TTIFF or JPEG. A combination of frequently used settings can be set as a logical printer.

[Version]

Displays the version of TIFF/JPEG.

[Paper Size]

Set the size of paper to use for printing.

[Memory Settings]

Select the number corresponding to the logical printer to be used by default when the printer is started.

[Logical Printer List]

Lists the logical printers.

Click a logical printer to edit it.

[Original Size]

Set the original size.

[Paper Supply]
