[IPsec]


Configure the settings to enable IPsec communication between the printer and the client computer. This item can be used when your computer supports IPsec.

Any data packets are encrypted whenever data is sent from your computer to the printer with IPsec protocol.

Note

This setting takes effect after the printer is restarted from Internet Services, or is turned off and then on again from the printer's control panel.

[Enable]

Set whether to enable IPsec communication.

[IKE Authentication Method]

Set the authentication method for IKE.

[Preshared Key]

Set the preshared key.

This item is displayed when [Preshared Key] is selected for IKE Authentication Method.

[Retype Preshared Key]

Enter the same string as that you entered in [Preshared Key].

[Device Certificate]

Set the device certificate for IPsec to be used with the Digital Signature authentication method.

This item is displayed when [Digital Signature] is selected for IKE Authentication Method.

[IKE SA Lifetime]

Enter the lifetime (in minutes) of IKE SA. The lifetime of IKE SA must be equal to or longer than that of the lifetime of IPsec SA.

[IPsec SA Lifetime]

Enter the lifetime (in minutes) of IPsec SA. The lifetime IPsec SA must be equal to or shorter than that of the lifetime of IKE SA.

[DH Group]

Set the DH group.

[PFS]

Set whether to enable PFS.

[Specify Destination IPv4 Address]

When using the printer in an IPv4 environment, enter the destination address in IPv4 format.

When using the printer in an IPv6 environment, enter the destination address in IPv6 format.

Set how the printer communicate with devices that do not support IPsec.
