[Wi-Fi Direct]


Set up the communication environment that uses Wi-Fi Direct.

Note
  • Wi-Fi Direct cannot be used in an IPv6 or ad hoc environment.
  • This setting takes effect after the printer is restarted from Internet Services, or is turned off and then on again from the printer's control panel.

[Enable]

Set whether to enable Wi-Fi Direct communication.

[Network Name]

Set the distinguished name of the Wi-Fi Direct network.

Wi-Fi Direct Connectivity Status

This item is displayed when the Wi-Fi Direct connection is enabled.

[Group Role]

This item is displayed when the Wi-Fi Direct connection is enabled.

Set the group role of the printer.

[Device Name]

This item is displayed when [Group Role] is set to [Auto].

Enter the name to be used to identify the printer on the Wi-Fi Direct network.

[DHCP Server]

This item is displayed when the Wi-Fi Direct connection is enabled.

[IP Address]

Displays the IP address of the printer when connected via Wi-Fi Direct.

[Subnet Mask]

Displays the subnet mask of the printer when connected via Wi-Fi Direct.

[IP Address Lease Time]

Set the life of IP addresses that the printer's subnet mask leases when connected via Wi-Fi Direct.

[Group Owner]

This item is displayed when the Wi-Fi Direct connection is enabled, and [Group Role] is set to [Group Owner].

Displays the current group owner.

[SSID ("DIRECT-**")]

Enter the distinguished name on the Wi-Fi Direct network. This field cannot be left blank.

[Passphrase]

Displays the passphrase. Check this item when entering the passphrase on your Wi-Fi mobile device.
