[USB]


Configure the settings related to USB such as enabling USB, selecting print mode, and setting auto-eject time.

[Enable]

Set whether to enable USB communication.

[Serial Number to Display During Plug & Play]

Set the format of serial number returned from the device to the client when USB is connected to the printer to either a value unique to the product or a 10-digit fixed value (9999999999).

[Device (Front)]/[Device (Rear)]

Set whether to enable the USB Type-A/Type-B port.

Note

This item is displayed when the USB Type-A/Type-B port exist at the front /rear of the printer.

If you change from Enable to Disable, the message "Make sure that no device is connected to the USB port to be disabled." appears.

[USB-B]

This item is displayed when you enable the USB Type-B port.

[PJL]

Set whether to enable actions to detect commands for switching to PJL (XJCL).

[Print Mode]

Set the print language.

Note

Only the print languages supported by the printer are displayed.

[Auto Eject Time]

Set the time period from the moment when data stream sent to the printer ceases, to the moment when the printer ejects paper automatically, in the rage between 5 and 1275 seconds in increments of 5 seconds.

[Adobe Communication Protocol]

Set the Adobe Communication Protocol.

This item is displayed when the printer is equipped with the optional Adobe PostScript 3 Kit.

[PostScript Wait Timeout (RAW Mode)]

Set whether to use the Timeout value set for PS as the job timeout value when Adobe Protocol is running PostScript jobs in raw mode.
