Configuration 1-4
These areas allow you to configure trap notification.
Trap Address Type
Select the trap address type from the following:
[IPv6] does not appear if your printer does not support IPv6. [IPX] does not appear if your printer does not support IPX/SPX.
- [Disable]
If [Disable] is selected, trap occurrences are not notified, and any address you specify here will be reset to the default (0.0.0.0:0) when saved.
- [IPv4]
Select [IPv4] if the destination is an IPv4 address.
- [IPv6]
Select [IPv6] if the destination is an IPv6 address.
- [IPX]
Select [IPX] if the destination is an IPX address.
Trap Destination Address
Configure the address to which trap occurrences are notified.
- To specify an IPv4 address
Enter the IPv4 address and IP socket in the "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd:eeeee" format. Values "aaa", "bbb", and "ccc" must be numbers between 0 and 255, except that "aaa" cannot be 127 or any number between 224 and 254. The IP socket (eeeee) must be a number between 0 and 65535.
- To specify an IPv6 address
Enter the IPv6 address in the format of "aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dddd:eeee:ffff:gggg:hhhh". Each IP address field (xxxx) must be a hexadecimal value between 0 and ffff. Except the first field, zeros can be omitted. (For example, "2001:db8::1" is equal to "2001:0db8:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0001".)
