Protocol Settings - Telnet
This page allows you to configure the settings for Telnet.
Connection Timeout
Set the connection timeout period of Telnet protocol. If the reception of data stops before receiving the entire data, the Telnet connection to the printer will time out after the time period set here. The timeout period can be set within the range of 1 to 1,000 seconds.
This setting will become active after rebooting the printer. You can reboot the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or by manually turning the printer off and on.
If the optional hard disk unit is not installed on your printer, note that the data in the memory is cleared when the printer is turned off.
Password
When using a password to access Telnet, enter the password in the text box. The password should be entered within 10 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols.
The password is displayed as dots (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the dots and then enter the password. A blank (null) cannot be set.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of dots.
