Protocol Settings - FTP
This page allows you to configure the settings for FTP.
Connection Timeout
Set the connection timeout period of FTP. When the reception of data stops before receiving the entire data, the FTP connection to the printer will time out after the time period set here. The timeout period can be set within the range of 1 to 1,000 seconds.
This setting will become active after rebooting the printer. You can reboot the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or by manually turning the printer off and on.
If the optional hard disk unit is not installed on your printer, note that the data in the memory is cleared when the printer is turned off.
Password
When using a password to access FTP, enter the password in the text box. The password should be entered within 7 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
The password is displayed as dots (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the dots and then enter the password. To clear the password, leave the text box blank.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of dots.
Re-enter Password
Enter the same password you entered in [Password] for verification.
