Protocol Settings - SMB
This page allows you to configure the settings for SMB.
This page appears if your printer supports SMB.
The following settings will become active after rebooting the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or manually turning off and on the printer.
If the optional hard disk unit is not installed on your printer, note that the data in the memory is cleared when the printer is turned off.
Host Name
Enter the host name within 15 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and hyphens (-).
Workgroup
Enter the name of the workgroup within 15 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and the following symbols:
! # $ @ % & ( ) - . ^ _ { } ~ ' / ` [ ]
Maximum number of sessions
Displays the maximum number of sessions.
Unicode Support
Set whether or not to notify the host name and workgroup name in Unicode characters during SMB transmission.
Auto Master Mode
Set whether or not to enable Auto Master Mode. When NIC is restarted, the system searches for the browse master (a device that manages the device host names in a workgroup) in its workgroup. If the browse master could not be found when Auto Master Mode is enabled, NIC will become the browse master.
Password Encryption
Set whether or not to encrypt the password during SMB transmission.
Print Timeout
Set the print timeout period of SMB. The timeout period can be set within the range of 60 to 3,600 seconds.
Non-Print Timeout
Set the non-print timeout period of SMB. The timeout period can be set within the range of 60 to 3,600 seconds.
