[Forward Settings] Dialog Box

You can specify the forwarding method of incoming faxes.

Note

This setting becomes available when you restart the printer from Internet Services or manually turn off and on the printer on the operator panel of the printer.

[Forward to Fax]

This item appears when [Forward] or [Print and Forward] is selected for the forwarding method.

[Forwarding Number]

Enter the fax number of the destination to which incoming faxes are forwarded.

[Forward to E-mail]

This item appears when [Forward to E-mail] or [Print and Forward to E-mail] is selected for the forwarding method.

[File Format]

Specify the file format when forwarding a received fax.

Note

If [XDW(DocuWorks)] is selected for the file format, the data may be divided into several pages when receiving lengthy documents.

[Forwarding E-mail Address 1] to [Forwarding E-mail Address 5]

Enter the e-mail address to which incoming faxes are forwarded.

Important

When [Forward to E-mail] is selected for the forwarding method, forwarded e-mails may be deleted due to functions such as filtering of your e-mail server.

[Forward to Server]

This item appears when [Forward to Server] or [Print and Forward to Server] is selected for the forwarding method.

[File Format]

Specify the file format when forwarding a received fax.

If [XDW(DocuWorks)] is selected for the file format, the data may be divided into several pages when receiving lengthy documents.

[Server Type]

Select the server type.

[Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name) : Port]

  • Text Box on the Left

    Enter the server address. The following characters can be entered:
    • IP address or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) format
    • Up to 64 bytes (single-byte only)
    • Alphanumeric characters, periods (.), hyphens (-), and colons (:)

  • Text Box on the Right

    Enter the port number.
    • Note

    In general, the following port numbers are used:

    • When [Server (FTP)] is selected for [Server Type]: "21"
    • When [Computer (SMB)] is selected for [Server Type]: "139" or "445"

[Name of Shared Directory]

This item appears when [Computer (SMB)] is selected for [Server Type].

Enter a share name of the SMB server. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 32 bytes (single-byte only)
  • Alphanumeric characters, symbols, and spaces

[Document Path]

Enter the path to save the fax document. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 96 bytes

[Login Name]

Enter the login name of the server. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 97 bytes (single-byte only)
  • Alphanumeric characters, symbols, and spaces

[Password]

Enter the password. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 32 bytes (single-byte only)
  • Alphanumeric characters, symbols, and spaces

[Retype Password]

Enter the same character string in [Password].
