[POP3] Dialog Box


You can configure the settings for POP3.

[IP Address/Host Name : Port]

Enter the address of the incoming e-mail server to be connected via POP3 protocol and the port number.

[Password Encryption]

Specify whether to encrypt the password.

[User Name]

Enter the user name for the incoming e-mail server. The following characters can be entered:

[Password]

Enter the password for the incoming e-mail server. A null cannot be set. The following characters can be entered:

[Retype Password]

Enter the same character string in [Password].

[Polling Interval]

Enter the time interval for polling.

[Permitted Email Address]

[Email Address 1] to [Email Address 4]

To impose restrictions on e-mail reception, enter the e-mail addresses that you permit to receive e-mails from. If none is specified, all e-mails are permitted.

The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 31 bytes (single-byte only)

[StatusMessenger Password]

[Password]

Enter the password to access to the StatusMessenger function via an e-mail received. If you do not want to set the password, leave the text box blank. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 7 bytes (single-byte only)
  • Alphanumeric characters

[Retype Password]

Enter the same character string in [Password].

[Print Job Password]

[Password]

Enter the password when you print out the e-mail attachments received by the printer. If you do not want to set the password, leave the text box blank. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 7 bytes (single-byte only)
  • Alphanumeric characters

[Retype Password]

Enter the same character string in [Password].
