[HTTP] Dialog Box


You can configure the settings for HTTP.

[Port Number]

Enter the port number which accepts requests from your web browser.

Important

Do not use the same port number as other protocols.

Note

This setting becomes available when you restart the printer from Internet Services or manually turn off and on the printer on the operator panel of the printer.

[CSRF Protection]

Specify whether to enable the CSRF (Cross-site Request Forgery) protection.

Important

When [CSRF Protection] is enabled, HTTP referer is checked. Internet Services is not available depending on your network environment.

[HTTPS (SSL)]

Specify whether to enable SSL/TLS server communication.

[HTTPS Port Number]

This item appears when [HTTPS (SSL)] is enabled.

Enter the port number that accepts requests from your web browser. The default value is "443".

When the port number is changed, enter a colon (:) and the port number after the printer's IP address, and then access to Internet Services with the format of "https://Printer_IP_Address:Port_Number/".

Example: https://192.0.2.1:80/

Important

Do not use the same port number as other protocols.

[Connection Timeout]

Enter the timeout period to wait for a response from the web browser.

[Proxy Server]

Specify whether to enable the use of a proxy server.

[Type]

This item appears when [Proxy Server] is enabled.

Select the type of the address.

[IP Address : Port]

This item appears when [Proxy Server] is enabled and [IPv4] or [IPv6] is selected for [Type].

Enter the IP address that uses the proxy server and the port number.

  • Text Box on the Left

    Enter the IP address. The following characters can be entered:
    • IP address or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) format
    • Up to 255 bytes (single-byte only)
  • Text Box on the Right

    Enter the port number.

[Host Name : Port]

This item appears when [Proxy Server] is enabled and [Host Name] is selected for [Type].

Enter the host name and the port number. The following characters can be entered:

  • Text Box on the Left

    Enter the host name. The following characters can be entered:
    • Up to 255 bytes (single-byte only)
    • Alphanumeric characters and hyphens (-)
  • Text Box on the Right

    Enter the port number.

[Password Required]

This item appears when [Proxy Server] is enabled.

Specify whether to enable the password for proxy server authentication.

[Login Name]

This item appears when [Password Required] is enabled.

Enter the login name for proxy server authentication. A null cannot be set. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 31 bytes (single-byte only)

[Password]

This item appears when [Password Required] is enabled.

Enter the login password for proxy server authentication. A null cannot be set. The following characters can be entered:

  • Up to 31 bytes (single-byte only)

[Retype Password]

This item appears when [Password Required] is enabled.

Enter the same character string in [Password].

[Exception List]

This item appears when [Proxy Server] is enabled.

Enter the address to bypass the proxy server. The following characters can be entered:

  • IP address or FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) format
  • Up to 319 bytes (single-byte only)
