For the contents of the IP address settings, contact your network administrator.
The addresses for [Machine IP Address], [Subnet Mask], and [Gateway Address] must be the ones that actually exist.
The setting becomes available when you reboot the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or manually turn off and on the printer after clicking [Apply].

[IP Mode]

Select the IP mode to be used.

Note

IPv6 is not available when [Wi-Fi Direct] is enabled.

[Host Name]

Enter the host name. The following characters can be entered:

Up to 47 bytes (single-byte only)
Alphanumeric characters and hyphens (-)

[IPv4]

Configure the settings for the IPv4 address. This item appears when [IPv4] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Get IP Address]

Select the method for obtaining the IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address. When the method is selected other than [Manual], the addresses are automatically specified via each protocol, and the addresses entered manually are ignored.

[Machine IP Address]

Enter the IP address allocated to the printer when [Manual] is selected for [Get IP Address].

[Subnet Mask]

Enter the subnet mask when [Manual] is selected for [Get IP Address].

[Gateway Address]

Enter the gateway address when [Manual] is selected for [Get IP Address].

[IPv6]

Configure the settings for the IPv6 address. This item appears when [IPv6] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Enable Manual Address]

Specify whether to manually set the IPv6 address.

Note

Obtaining of auto-set address is still performed even when this item is enabled.

[Get IP Address from DHCP]

Specify whether to obtain the IP address and gateway address via DHCP. When [Enabled] is selected, the addresses entered manually are ignored.

[IP Address]

Enter the IP address and prefix length allocated to the printer.

[Stateless Address]

Displays stateless addresses assigned by the IPv6 router connected to the network.

[Stateful Address]

Displays stateful addresses assigned by the IPv6 router connected to the network.

[Link-Local Address]

Displays a link-local address.

[Gateway Address]

Enter the gateway address.

[Automatically Configured Gateway Address]

Displays a gateway address assigned by the IPv6 router connected to the network.

[DNS]

Configure the settings when DNS is used.

[DNS Domain Name]

Enter the domain name. The following characters can be entered:

Up to 255 bytes (single-byte only)
Alphanumeric characters, periods (.), and hyphens (-)

[IPv4]

Configure the settings when IPv4 mode is used. This item appears when [IPv4] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically]

Specify whether to automatically set the DNS server address using DHCP. When [Enabled] is selected, the addresses entered manually are ignored.

When the method for obtaining the DNS server address is set to DHCP, the method for obtaining the IP address is also set to DHCP.

[DNS Server Address]

Enter the DNS server address.

[IPv6]

Configure the settings when IPv6 mode is used. This item appears when [IPv6] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically]

Specify whether to automatically set the DNS server address using DHCP. When [Enabled] is selected, the addresses entered manually are ignored.

When the method for obtaining the DNS server address is set to DHCP, the method for obtaining the IP address is also set to DHCP.

[DNS Server Address]

Enter the DNS server address.

[Dynamic DNS Registration (IPv4)]

Specify whether to update DNS dynamically. When [Enabled] is selected, enter [DNS Domain Name].

When dynamic DNS is prohibited by the server, this setting is not available even when you select [Enabled]. For information about the operation of dynamic DNS, contact your administrator.

This item appears when [IPv4] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Dynamic DNS Registration (IPv6)]

Specify whether to update DNS dynamically. When [Enabled] is selected, enter [DNS Domain Name].

When dynamic DNS is prohibited by the server, this setting is not available even when you select [Enabled]. For information about the operation of dynamic DNS, contact your administrator.

This item appears when [IPv6] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Auto Generate Search List]

Specify whether to automatically create the domain search list.

[Search Domain Name]

Enter the domain name to be searched.

Up to 255 bytes (single-byte only)
Alphanumeric characters, periods (.), and hyphens (-)

[Connection Timeout]

Enter the timeout period of the domain search.

[DNS Resolution via IPv6 First]

Specify whether to resolve DNS names via IPv6 mode first. This item appears when [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[WINS Server]

Configure the settings when WINS is used. This item appears when the printer supports either SMB or SMB client, and [IPv4] or [Dual Stack] is selected for [IP Mode].

[Get WINS Server Address]

Specify whether to obtain the primary and secondary WINS server address via DHCP. When [DHCP] is selected, the addresses entered manually are ignored.

When the method for obtaining the WINS server address is set to DHCP, the method for obtaining the IP address is also set to DHCP.

[Primary WINS Server Address]

Enter the WINS server address.

[Secondary WINS Server Address]

Enter the back-up WINS server address.
