Internet Services Help

[SSL/TLS Settings]

Configure the settings to provide secure data transmission from/to the printer.

Data for which the secure transmission is done includes IPP print jobs and data transmitted between the printer and your web browser or between the printer and the server. These data communications are encrypted with SSL/TLS.

When data encryption is enabled, to access Internet Services, enter "https" instead of "http" at the beginning of the address.

Note

This setting takes effect after the printer is restarted from Internet Services, or is turned off and then on again from the printer's control panel.

[Protocol Version]

Set the version of TLS.

[Enable TLS1.3]

Set whether to use TLS1.3.

[TLS Security Level]

Set the security level of TLS.

[Device Certificate - Server]

Set the certificate for the device.

[HTTP - SSL/TLS Communication Port Number]

Enter the number of the port that accepts requests from your web browser. The default value is "443".

If you change the port number, access Internet Services by entering the printer's IP address followed by a colon (:) and the port number, in the "https://the printer's IP address:port number/" format.

Example: https://192.0.2.1:80/

Important

Do not use the same port number as that for other protocols.

[LDAP - SSL/TLS Communication]

Set whether to enable LDAP using SSL/TLS communication.

[SMTP - SSL/TLS Communication]

Set the encryption algorithm for SMTP communication.

Note

If the email server does not support STARTTLS, communication with the email server is not established even if you select [STARTTLS].

[POP3 - SSL/TLS Communication]

Set whether to enable POP3 using SSL/TLS communication.

[ThinPrint - SSL/TLS Communication]

Set whether to enable ThinPrint using SSL/TLS communication.

[Device Certificate - Client]
