[Wi-Fi]


Set up the communication environment that uses Wi-Fi.

Note

This setting takes effect after the printer is restarted from CentreWare Internet Services, or is turned off and then on again from the printer's control panel.

[Enable]

Set whether to boot the Wi-Fi port.

[Network Name]

Set the distinguished name of the wireless network.

[MAC Address]

Displays the current MAC address if the printer is connected to the wireless network.

[Link Channel]

Displays the number of the connection destination channel if the printer is connected to the wireless network.

[Link Quality]

Displays the status of the communication if the printer is connected to the wireless network.

[Operating Frequency Band]

Select the band of operating frequencies.

[SSID]

Set the SSID of wireless network.

[Communication Mode]

Set the communication method.

[TCP/IP Settings]

Configure each of the TCP/IP settings. For more information on the settings, see [Ethernet].

[Security Settings]

[Encryption]

Set the security method. To choose not to use encryption, select [No Encryption].

♦ If you select [WEP]

[Transmit Key]

Set the WEP key to use.

[WEP Key 1] to [WEP Key 4]

Enter the WEP key.

[Retype WEP Key 1] to [Retype WEP Key 4]

Enter the same WEP key as that you entered for the corresponding WEP key.

♦ When [Encryption] is set to [WPA2 Personal] or [Mixed Mode Personal (AES / TKIP)].

[Passphrase]

Set the passphrase to use.

[Retype Passphrase]

Enter the same passphrase as that you entered in [Passphrase].

♦ When [Encryption] is set to [WPA2 Enterprise] or [Mixed Mode Enterprise (AES / TKIP)].

[Authentication Method]

Set the authentication method for EAP.

[Root Certificate]

Set the certificate to use.

[Identity]

Enter the EAP-Identity.

[User Name]

Enter the login user name for WPA-Enterprise authentication.

[Password]

Enter the password for WPA-Enterprise. This field cannot be left blank.

[Retype Password]

Enter the same string as that you entered in [Password].
